5/1 Update
Hi everyone!
The time has come - we are less than two months until Mallorca. Crazy, right? I have provided information below that is key to the trip. Please let me know if you have any questions, as I am sure others may have the same questions too!
Last Minute Details
1. Transportation
Uber is available throughout the island, but I would recommend taking a local taxi. Uber in Mallorca costs a lot more than taking a local taxi. A 30-minute trip to the airport can run you around €90, whereas a local taxi is between €40-50
Avis, Budget, Hertz, and Sixt car rentals are available at the airport. For the day trips / beach, transportation will be decentralized; Uber may be more convenient, but car rentals are typically cheaper. Please let me know if you decide to rent a car and are looking to split the cost with extra people - there are people that are happy to join your vehicle
Note: EY people will have a discount code for all car rentals
2. Payments
I recommend switching from USD to Euros prior to arrival in Mallorca if you want to spend money in smaller shops. American Express does not have a foreign transaction fee, but it is smart to bring a debit card in the event that you need to withdraw cash from an ATM. Always pay in Euros instead of dollars on all credit/debit transactions; this allows your bank to set the exchange rate which is typically more favorable
3. Communication
A group chat will be set up prior to arrival either on iMessage or WhatsApp depending on whether anyone will be using an eSIM
4. Travel Docs and Entry Requirements
Please ensure passports are valid at least 6 months beyond return. Take pictures of your passport and ID and email it to yourself in the event that you lose your documents.
If you are connecting through the UK, you’ll need to apply for a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
5. Day of Arrival
Most people are arriving on June 26th in the afternoon. If you're getting in earlier, feel free to share your plans in the group chat—we can help coordinate rides or meet-ups. There are people that will already be on the island before the 26th
Check-in at all hotels is at 3 PM and luggage storage will available 24/7
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
2/15 Update
Hi everyone!
I’ve been getting some great questions about the trip recently, so I thought this platform would be the best way to share updates and answer FAQs. Keep checking back for more details as we get closer to June!
FAQs
1. RSVP Deadline:
The RSVP deadline is March 1st
If applicable, remember to submit your PTO requests in time!
2. Plus 1s:
Feel free to forward the invite to your guest if applicable
I’ve restricted adding another person to your direct invite, but if your guest joins the Partiful, they’ll be included in all future communications
3. Flights and Hotel:
Use Google Flights to find the best deals into Europe
Recommended hubs: Madrid or Barcelona for convenient daily flights to Mallorca
Other options: Milan and Paris are showing cheaper fares for LA and NYC travelers
Once in Europe, you can book a flight to Mallorca for under €50
Important: If transiting through the UK, you’ll need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
I chose Hotel Nixe Palace to stay at on Cala Major. Be Live Experience Costa Palma and Be Live Adults Only Marivent are on the same beach if you are looking for a more affordable option.
4. Plans & Itinerary:
There will be 1–2 scheduled activities per day, such as dinners, bar outings, beach time, or exploring cities
The rest of the time is flexible, so feel free to do your own thing
5. Post-Mallorca:
Many of you are planning to explore Europe after the trip. Popular destinations include:
Madrid, Barcelona, Lake Como, Lisbon, and Porto
I’ll likely head to Tuscany and Florence before returning to NYC
